Welcome to the
Zooplankton Ecology Lab!

Bernard and Raycroft mapping Antarctic krill from a Mach V Zodiac near Palmer Station, Antarctica

In the Zooplankton Ecology Lab, we aim to understand how the physical/chemical/biological ocean environment influences zooplankton ecology (at both the community and population levels) and the role that zooplankton play in ecosystem functioning.  Our research aims to fill important gaps in zooplankton ecology, with the ultimate goal of better understanding how natural and anthropogenic forcing may alter marine ecosystems in the future.
